Tik Root is a freelance journalist who has reported from a number of countries on topics ranging from Al-Qaeda to the Olympics. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, National Geographic, The New York Times, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Harper’s and the BBC, among other outlets.
