Sandra Beasley

Biography

Sandra Beasley’s prose has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the American Scholar, and other venues. She is the author of Don’t Kill the Birthday Girl: Tales from an Allergic Life (Crown, 2012), a disability memoir, and four poetry collections, most recently Made to Explode (Norton, 2021). Honors for her work include an NEA fellowship and six DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities fellowships. She serves as the poetry editor for Blair.
