Jim Shepard

Jim Shepard is the author of six novels and two collections of stories, most recently Project X (Knopf, 2004) and Love and Hydrogen (Vintage, 2004). His short stories have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker, Esquire, Harper’s, The Paris Review, and other magazines, and in a number of anthologies, including The Best American Short Stories, 1994. He has been honored by the Pirandello Society of Harvard University, the New Theater Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Society of the 8th Air Force Veterans. Other awards include the Transatlantic Review Award from the Henfield Foundation and the Shane Stevens Fellowship from the Breadloaf Writers’ Conference. He teaches creative writing at Williams College.
