Biography

Harry Berger, Jr. is Professor Emeritus of Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His numerous books include Manhood, Marriage, and Mischief (Fordham, 2006), Situated Utterances (Fordham, 2005), The Villain’s Discourse in Shakespeare (Stanford, 2000), Fictions of the Pose: Rembrandt Against the Italian Renaissance (Stanford, 1999), and Imaginary Audition: Shakespeare on Stage and Page (California, 1989).
