David Orr

David Orr writes the “On Poetry” column for The New York Times Book Review and also contributes to Slate. His book Beautiful & Pointless: A Guide to Modern Poetry (Harper Collins, 2011) was selected by the Chicago Tribune as one of the best books of the year. A poet as well, Orr was awarded the 2004 Nona Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing of the National Book Critics Circle.
