David L. Middleton

Biography

David L. Middleton, professor emeritus, joined the English Department of Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, in 1969 after receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His work on notable figures such as Joseph Heller, Carlos Fuentes, Toni Morrison, Horton Foote, and even the Newton Boys gang of bank and train robbers (a documentary film and oral history book) grew out of personal meetings with and deep affection for each one of these memorable, variously gifted individuals.
