Daniel Halpern
Biography
Daniel Halpern is the author of nine collections of poetry. He was editor of Antaeus. He has received numerous awards, including fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the NEA, as well as the Editor’s Award given by Poets and Writers and the Maxwell Perkins Award. He taught in the Columbia MFA writing program, and, with James Michener, founded The National Poetry Series. Halpern was publisher of Ecco and Executive Editor at Knopf.
