Charles Baudelaire
Biography
Charles Baudelaire (1821 – 1867) is widely considered one of the greatest nineteenth-century French poets. He was the author of several poetry collections, and published multiple French translations of Edgar Allen Poe’s work. In 1961, VQR published five English translations from his most famous collection of poems, Les Fleurs du mal (Poulet-Malassis et de Broise, 1857).
