Alexander Brock
Biography
Alexander Brock is the associate editor at the Virginia Quarterly Review, heading the magazine’s fact-checking department and working as its copy editor.
Alex has previously worked as National Geographic magazine’s translation reviewer for its Arabic and French editions. He is a former Fulbright Scholar to Cairo, Egypt, and was a research associate for Middle East studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, in Washington, DC. His work can be found in VQR’s pages and has also been published in venues such as Foreign Policy magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, and McSweeney’s, among others.
Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
