Contributor Profiles

Thomas Wolfe (1900–1938), born in Asheville, North Carolina, was the author of Look Homeward, Angel and You Can‘t Go Home Again, among many other works. He is widely regarded as one of the great American writers of the twentieth century.

Edward C. Aswell was Thomas Wolfe’s editor at Harper & Brothers beginning in late 1937 and shepherded the novels The Web and the Rock, You Can’t Go Home Again, and The Hills Beyond to publication after Wolfe’s death in September 1938.
